Measuring networks

Also for providing adequate apparatus for (and the building of) measurement networks Hemmis has a long term experience both by governmental institutions and the private sector: - Maintenance and extension of the hydrologic measuring network in Flanders (http://www.lin.vlaanderen.be/awz/waterstanden/hydra/ );
- Maintenance and extension of the traffic measuring network along the urban streets in Flanders;
- Set up of a measuring network for the University of Ghent in the Zwalm region. By mesuring meteorological data, water levels and rainfall they investigate the relation between rainfall, water levels in the river and groundwater levels;
- Set up of a measuring network in the 'Zwinpolders';
- Set up of a sabotage safe measuring network for groundwater levels while building the Deurganckdok in Doel;
- Set up of an operational measuring network for the Operational Basin Models for the Demer, Dender and Dijle in order to be able to forecast high water and flood;
- Set up of an operational measuring network in the region Maas with measuring points in the bed of the Maas as well as groundwater measuring points along the Maas in order to be able to investigate the interaction between both;
Set up of a measuring networks in Maroc and Tunisia for irrigation (based on water from hydroelectric power stations). The accuracy and reliability of the data are essential in each of these projects. The technical know-how of HEMMIS concerning the set up of measuring networks in general and the large number of relevant references guaranties the client the technical and economically most justified solution (price – quality) without weakening the tender specifications.
