The coastal legislation Navigator is a new online database (Kustcodex) - 23 november 2011
The Kustcodex offers the consolidated versions of the actual legislation related to the Belgian coast. The text is accessible through using a thematically index as well as by means of several search possibilities including a full text search.
Additional information such as the published decsissions, parliamentary preparatory work and circulars are directly accessible from the legislation. Court decisions have been added as well as far as they have a direct impact on the adaptation of the statutory provisions (decisions of the Constitutional Court or Council of State).
The project is the result of a balanced partnership
The Kustcodex was a joined effort of different partners. The content is provided by Wolters Kluwer Belgium NV who is also responsible for the actualization of the data The application itself has been built with the Legal Navigator Platform, a software platform to manage and present legal data on the Internet. The tool was initially financed by the Flemish Government and was developed by VITO and HEMMIS for the Environmental Legislation database.
